Roomer have dropped their dynamic new dream-pop cut, ‘Windows’. Its lo-fi production takes the track in an interesting sonic direction that allows the accompaniment to float beneath the deep vocal delivery and hazy lyricism. The end result is a twisted, noisy blend of My Bloody Valentine during the chorus’ powerful eruptions of sound, and the subtle interlocking of minimalist patterns in the more restrained verses. They say the track “is about waking up and finding clarity again. It’s about cleaning what’s blurred, letting in fresh air, and seeing things as they are—clear, simple, and bright.” Keep an eye out for their new album, Leaving It All To Chance, which is out on April 4th, 2025, via Squama Recordings. -Dan Peeke
